  1.   Game Maintenance/Adding New Game Help

  3. 1) Game Name - If you are changing a game,
  4.    leave this field alone unless the name
  5.    of the game has changed. If you are 
  6.    adding a game enter the new name of 
  7.    this game.

  9. 2) Number of balls picked - If you are
  10.    adding a new game enter 5 or 6. If you
  11.    are changing a game, leave this field
  12.    alone unless the state lottery changes 
  13.    the number of balls that are picked
  14.    for this game - extremely rare.
  15.    
  16. 3) Number of balls played - If you are
  17.    adding a game, enter the total number of 
  18.    balls that are used. If you are changing
  19.    a game this is the most common reason 
  20.    for changing a game, usually the number
  21.    of balls played gets larger - either as
  22.    the population of the state gets larger
  23.    or if there are too many winners or not 
  24.    enough turnover.

  26. 4) Bonus - Whether this game uses a "bonus"
  27.    or alternate number - for secondary
  28.    grand prizes. If "P" is entered, this
  29.    means the game is a "POWERBALL" game 
  30.    (i.e. numbers are drawn from 2 sets of
  31.    balls - like a "white" set and a "red"
  32.    set - and the powerball number can be
  33.    a duplicate of one of the non-powerball
  34.    numbers). If "D" is entered, this means
  35.    the game has a "double" set of bonus
  36.    numbers (2 bonus numbers) such as the
  37.    AUSTRALIA GOLD 6/45 lotto.

  39. 5) Payoffs - whether you want to show
  40.    payoff amounts. These have to be
  41.    manually entered at the present time.

  43. 6) Ballsets - whether you want to enter
  44.    and track "ballset" or "bucket" 
  45.    information.

  47. 7) Status - "CURRENT" for games still in 
  48.    use or "OLD" for discontinued games.
